Better Streets consultation on a controlled crossing of Lovers' Walk

Consultation Dangerous crossing of Lovers Walk - Some Progress

As part of the Better Streets Consultation, Scheme 1 proposed a controlled of Lover's Walk, as part of a larger scheme to create a connection from the station to the Whitesands via Newall Terrace.

Outcome: Better Streets Scheme 1 taken forward to apply for funding for more detailed design.

Consultation Impove Newall Terrace route from station to town centre - Some Progress

As part of the Better Streets Scheme 1, proposals were put in place to improve the connection from Lover's Walk to Newall Terrace, and create a route through the Newall Terrace car park to English Street, to connect to the proposed route along Shakespeare Street to the Whitesands (Scheme 2)

Outcome: Better Streets Scheme 1 was taken forward to apply for funding for further design work.
